Collection: 19 grams
This interesting roastery from Germany , specifically from Berlin, had its beginnings in 2002, under the name Tres Cabezas . They wanted to create a place from where they would supply good quality specialty coffee, because they did not like the one offered in cafes and shops, but they were also not convinced by the way it was grown, processed and transported:). As they themselves say, when they founded their roastery they had a lot of passion, idealism and heads full of dreams. At that time, specialty coffee was known in the USA, Australia and Great Britain, but not in Germany at all.
They needed to learn as much as possible about coffee itself, as a plant, how to process it and how to distinguish good coffee from bad, as well as what factors affect the quality of coffee. They started traveling around the world, visited many coffee plantations, learned a lot about it, sometimes (literally;)) crawling on the ground. They made many friends with coffee enthusiasts in many countries. All this resulted in, among others, changing the name to 19grams , which is the exact amount of coffee used for a double espresso in Australia:).
As their friends from Australia say, "they know their shit":). So they know their stuff! They are happy that coffee lovers all over the world are becoming more aware of coffee and know that coffee is more than a bag of beans from the supermarket for a small price.
They devote attention to farmers, they get to know them personally, they talk, discuss, argue. They want to strive for sustainable development of production. They are open to suggestions and criticism, because as they say: their goal is to make each next day better.
And you? Have you already had coffee from 19grams? :) Be sure to tell us about your impressions!
