Swerl - coffee roastery
Sweden
Swerl is a micro-roastery inspired by the art of brewing excellent coffee and building relationships. They started their journey in 2019 as a mobile coffee shop in a vintage 1972 Mercedes bus, serving coffee from renowned Swedish roasters such as Koppi, Drop, and Morgon. In the winter of 2019/2020, founders Beatriz and Daniel worked in Lisbon, gaining experience at Buna and collaborating with Nomad Coffee. In 2020, despite the pandemic, they continued their operations in Falkenberg, expanding their team from two to five people during the summer season. In 2021, they acquired a 15-kilogram Giesen roaster, which allowed them to start their own coffee production. After a year of perfecting their roasting skills, in early 2022, they launched their own roastery with a new visual identity, created in collaboration with Andreas Pedersen. Swerl focuses on working with passionate and dedicated coffee producers, following seasonality to deliver fresh and delicious products. By controlling the entire production process, they make decisions aimed at positively impacting the environment and creating a transparent, high-quality product.
