🎉 Gesha that shames the stars — Colombia Gesha Norena Competition!
Teodor says it directly: "Not every coffee is worth me getting up from the windowsill for. This one is."
And it's hard to disagree with him.
Today, a unique coffee, Colombia Gesha Norena Competition from the Slovak roastery Kavoholik, is in our spotlight. This is one of those moments when even Teodor stops pretending indifference and looks into the cup with interest.
🌿 Why is this Gesha worth knowing?
This is competition coffee from the legendary Campo Hermoso farm in Colombia, created by Edwin Norena — a producer who treats fermentation as an art, not an accident.
Teodor commented briefly:
"Controlled fermentation, top quality, and I still haven't gotten a treat. Scandalous."
And indeed — this is a coffee that doesn't try to be "for everyone". It's for those who like it when more is happening in their cup.
☕️ A flavor profile that stays in your memory
The first sip reveals that we are dealing with a top-shelf Gesha:
-
🌸 flowers — elegant, light, very clean
-
🍋 lemongrass — freshness and energy
-
🌺 hibiscus — juicy, tea-like acidity
Teodor wrinkles his nose, but only because:
"This isn't a coffee to sip on the go. This is a coffee you stop scrolling for."
And exactly so — it tastes best brewed slowly, carefully, with a pour-over.
🔬 What's behind this taste?
🌍 Colombia – Campo Hermoso
🌱 Variety: Gesha
⚙️ Process: Mossto Lactic & Extended Fermentation
This extremely clean, yet complex profile is due to extended fermentation using mossto, which builds texture and depth without obscuring the varietal's character.
🏆 Who is this coffee for?
This is an offer for:
-
fans of pour-overs (V60, Chemex, Aeropress)
-
people who like tea-like, floral, and precise coffees
-
those who know that Gesha isn't hype, but a style
Teodor adds a warning:
"If you drink coffee with sugar and milk, don't waste this Gesha. I'm watching."
☀️ Summary
Colombia Gesha Norena Competition is a coffee that:
✨ is subtle but expressive
✨ showcases the class of the Gesha variety
✨ rewards patience and careful brewing
This is not a "quick" coffee.
It's a coffee at which Teodor sits beside you and pretends not to be interested — and that's the highest form of appreciation

Kolejny smak ajaxu w kawie.
