Kolibri - Coffee Roastery

Kolibri is a story of passion, travel, and ethics, encapsulated in a bean. Behind the roastery are Stephany and Darius: after years of living and traveling between Colombia, Costa Rica, and Europe, in 2019 they decided to create something of their own—a home roastery in the Netherlands, drawing on family farms and relationships with farmers.

Their mission became clear: to offer coffees that are ethically sourced, sustainable, and traceable from farm to cup. In 2022, they moved to a new location and invested in a Stronghold electric roaster to be able to roast seasonal batches with a smaller environmental impact.

In the Kolibri collection at CoffeeMates, you'll find both classic Single Origin coffees and experimental lots—natural, fermented, or hybrid. Their coffees are characterized by purity, elegance, and a balanced flavor profile—perfect for both pour-over and espresso.

We select them to discover the diversity of countries, regions, and processing methods that Kolibri brings to Europe. For coffee lovers, it's an invitation to a deeper journey—not just of taste, but of ethics.
