This exotic coffee comes from the mountainous Kintamani region of Bali. The lot was prepared by the Karana collective – a community of 377 small producers operating in accordance with the Hindu philosophy of "Tri Hita Karana," based on harmony between humans, nature, and the spiritual realm. The farms are located on fertile, volcanic soils between the Batukaru and Agung volcanoes, at an average altitude of approximately 1200 m above sea level.

One of the most distinctive elements of this terroir is its unique biodiversity – coffee trees grow in the shade of orange trees and other local crops, which directly influences the complex aromatic profile. S795 varieties and the rare Kartika – a local mutation of the Catuai variety – are cultivated here.

Freshly picked fruits are hermetically sealed and fermented in their own juice, then sun-dried. This method intensifies natural sweetness and builds an explosive fruity profile characteristic of the new wave of Indonesian coffees. Thanks to anaerobic fermentation and the volcanic terroir, Bali Karana offers an intense, expressive, and slightly "funky" sensory experience.

In the cup, a vibrant and multidimensional acidity dominates. Tropical notes of mango and passion fruit come to the forefront, perfectly intertwining with a distinct orange accent – characteristic of the Kintamani region. The body is full, liqueur-like, and the finish is long, sweet, and incredibly juicy.

We especially recommend this coffee for pour-over methods, where tropical notes resonate with exceptional clarity, and delicate citrus acidity gains an elegant structure.
