Kenya Kiambu Washed by Romanian roaster Guido - Omniroast
Flavor notes: Currants, Pomegranate, Rose Tea
A note from Coffee Mates: a pleasant Kenyan coffee, will delight fans of a darker roast. In our opinion, this Omniroast is noticeable here :)
From the roastery:
This coffee comes from the heart of the Kiambu region, famous for its red, volcanic soils and cool climate conducive to growing high-quality coffee. Wamuguma Farm, part of the Ritho Farmers' Cooperative Society, brings together over 600 local small producers who deliver their harvests to the processing station. This is a place where tradition meets modern infrastructure – the beans undergo washing, fermentation, and drying on raised African beds, with each stage carried out with care for consistency and high quality of every batch.
In the cup, the coffee delights with a vibrant and multidimensional acidity – intense blackcurrant notes dominate, complemented by accents of pomegranate and a subtle, floral elegance reminiscent of rose tea. This is a classic interpretation of Kenyan terroir – fruity, intense, and elegant.
We especially recommend it for espresso for those looking for a bright, refined, and full-bodied shot. It will also be excellent in alternative brewing methods, where the fruity profile and aromatic complexity gain exceptional clarity.
