This coffee comes from Ambera farm in Pitalito, Huila — one of the most active specialty coffee regions in southern Colombia. This region is located between the Andes mountain ranges at an altitude of about 1300–1900 m above sea level, where the cooler climate and volcanic soils favor the slow ripening of the fruits and the development of dense, high-quality coffee. Pitalito is particularly known for producers who experiment with fermentation and post-harvest processing techniques while maintaining a clean and orderly flavor profile. Many farms in this region are small, family-owned operations that pay great attention to selective harvesting and manual processing.
