Swerl Brazil Minas Gerais Casa Almeida Barreto Espresso
Elegant, with a silky body and notes of milk chocolate, nougat and stone fruit. A comforting and cozy coffee.
Origin:
The beans come from Casa Almeida, harvested at an altitude of 1200 m.a.s.l. roasted by the Swedish roastery Swerl.
Casa Almeida Barreto is a family-owned estate focused on producing high-quality specialty coffee and wine from Brazil, from which Swerl roastery directly purchases coffee.
As the roastery assesses - "The quality of their coffee is evident in every sample."
Thanks to a scientific and artisanal approach to production, Jorge and Gabriel are constantly researching the terroir and developing methods that can better express each varietal and achieve great results in cupping.
Over the past years, they have refined fermentation and drying methods to better preserve the aromas and taste of the coffee cherry, while also exploring different profiles. Using stainless steel tanks and technology from wineries, they have been able to better control coffee fermentation, extracting very interesting flavor profiles.
Processing and Flavor Notes:
Here we have Brazilian Mundo Novo beans processed as natural with flavor notes of nougat, milk chocolate, and stone fruit.
