This coffee is characterized by a sparkling and elegant profile, combining the refreshing sweetness of red apple, the delicate juiciness of lychee and white grapes, and a sophisticated, champagne-like aftertaste.
Origin:
The Gichatha-ini factory is a wet mill located in Nyeri, Kenya, near the town of Karatina, at an altitude of 1700–1900 meters above sea level. It is one of three factories belonging to the Gikanda Farmers Cooperative Society, from which we have sourced since 2012. Approximately 800 small-scale farmers from the surrounding areas deliver their cherries to Gichathaini. The main coffee variety processed here is SL 34 (90%), with smaller quantities of SL 28, K7, and Ruiru 11. The cherries are pulped, dry-fermented, washed, and sun-dried. The Gichathaini factory is Fairtrade, UTZ, and Rainforest Alliance certified. In the Nyeri region of central Kenya, the Gikanda cooperative operates three factories (wet mills) and comprises approximately 3000 active farmers. These factories include Gichatha-ini, Kangocho, and Ndaroini Gi-ka-nda-Gikanda.

Here we have Kenyan beans of the SL28, SL34, Ruiru 11 varieties, washed processed, with tasting notes of red fruits, blackcurrant, guava, and flowers. A very interesting coffee.
