Origin:
The coffee comes from the Kathakwa washing station on the slopes of Mount Kenya in Embu County. Established in 1964, it serves approximately 1100 farmers growing SL28, SL34, Batian, and Ruiru 11 varieties on fertile, volcanic soil. Located at an altitude of 1550–1700 m above sea level, it produces coffee with a complex flavor. Rockbern Coffee was founded in 2012 by Peter Muchiri Syomwenzwa and his wife Bernice; the name symbolizes balance and harmony.
