Origin:

The coffee comes from the village of Banko Chelchele, located in the Gedeb woreda region in the Gedeo Zone, in the Southern Nations, Nationalities, and Peoples' Region. This region is renowned for its ideal climate and altitude. Coffee from this lot is grown at an elevation of 1900 to 2300 meters above sea level. In Chelchele, coffee cultivation is not just an occupation – it is a way of life, deeply rooted in the community's heritage. Passed down from generation to generation, the local community possesses rich knowledge and experience in coffee cultivation and harvesting. This deep cultural connection to coffee has shaped the community's traditions and livelihoods, making it an integral part of its identity.
