Kenya Gloria Natural from Dutch roastery Shokunin
Omniroast - we always brew it in a filter :).
As Shokunin says - "This is the beginning of our direct trade in Kenya, replacing a corrupt auction system with sustainable relationships.
Although Kenyan specialty coffee is praised worldwide for its sweetness and complexity, the coffee industry in this country is far from ideal. Almost all coffee is traded through a central auction system, which is corrupt and prevents transparency in the supply chain. This discourages young people from continuing the coffee tradition, forcing them to seek work in cities.
Our import partner, This Side Up, has collaborated with Stean’s Beans, who recently obtained their own export license in Kenya. Together, they have started direct coffee imports from Kenya, while establishing our sustainable practices in the region."
Kenya – Natural process, SL28 variety. Floral aromas, like rose petals. Juicy sweetness, like blackcurrant. Full body, like grape gummies and black tea.
Packaging:
250g whole bean coffee.
