Mexico Mad Mic, Natural and Sun-Dried Process

Mad Mic is a unique specialty coffee from Mexico, proving that the Guerrero region deserves a place among the most interesting coffee corners of the world. It comes from the mountainous area of La Montaña Alta, where 38 women, members of the Las Guerreras collective, passionately cultivate coffee trees using traditional agroforestry systems. The coffee trees grow in the shade of native species and fruit trees, which promotes the slow ripening of the fruits and the development of natural sweetness in the beans.

This coffee has undergone a natural process, where the whole fruits are sun-dried. This results in more sweetness, a fuller body, and a pleasant fruity complexity in the cup. Mad Mic captivates with a harmonious flavor profile, combining citrus freshness with delicate notes of almonds, walnuts, tea, and stone fruits. It is an exceptionally approachable coffee, yet it offers the distinctive profile of high-altitude Mexican coffees.

The Las Guerreras project also has an important social dimension. Thanks to cooperation with organizations supporting specialty coffee producers, women from the Guerrero region have gained direct access to the quality coffee market, allowing them to develop their farms and build economic independence. Each cup of this coffee tells a story of commitment, tradition, and the strength of the local community.
